Besan Chilla | Easy Chickpea Panckaes









Breakfast is such an important meal of the day... and it is a very important question as to what to eat for breakfast??? this chilla is one of the most easy and quick recipes and it does not need any preparation, i feel it is like an instant dosa! a healthy dosa!!  





Besan chillla is a simple and savoury  pancake that is made of besan / gram flour. This is surely a pan cake that will win you over.. it is my go to breakfast when i want something quick and easy. It is also a nice plan B for unannounced visitors. The batter is easy to make does not need any resting it is just mix and make!!  




What do you need to make a Besan Chila?


  • Besan / Gram Flour 
  • Chopped Onions 
  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Fresh Coriander 
  • Salt 
  • Water



How to make the Beasan Chilla?

Step 1: Making the batter, add gram flour, salt, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions and fresh chopped coriander in a bowl. 





Step 2: Add enough water to make a batter. The batter should be neither be too thin nor too thick. It cannot be thin because of all the vegetables and to thick will make the chilla soggy. 





Step 3: Carefully pour it over a pan and we are really done, make sure the chilla is cooked well on both sides and just grab a bite as soon as you can!!
