Drumstick Leaves Powder | Moringa Leaf Powder







Drumstick Leaves or Moringa leaves have immense benefits! They are so many benefits that these leaves can offer, listing them in this one post is not possible. 


But the top most benefits are  that these leaves can help cure Asthma, Anaemia , They are also known to help in reducing Blood sugar levels. I should stop selling the benefits of the drumstick leaves. 




The Powder is very easy to make and can be stored for almost 20-25 days in an 
airtight box. You can get remade Moringa powder on Amazon but i have not used it, i just love the flavor of it mixed with the lentils and the spices add a nice twist to it! 

This powder can be served with IDli / Dosa or just with some hot steaming rice. I personally love it with rice. I am and always have been a chutney and podi fan and i love to eat it as my first bite, i just love it like that. 


What do you need to make the Drumstick Leaves Powder? 


  • Fresh Drumstick Leaves / Moringa 
  • Broken Black gram/ Urad daal 
  • Split Chikpeas / Chana daal
  • Dry Red Chilies  
  • Garlic / Lassun 
  • Tamarind / Imli 
  • Sesame seeds / Till 
  • Salt 

How to make Drumstick Leaves Powder? 

Step 1:  Wash and dry the Moringa leaves. This step is very important because, even a bit of wetness can really spoil your powder. Dry fry in a pan or in a microwave. Ensuring there is a nice roasted flavor and will help making sure all the water is dried up.  




Step 2: Is to dry fry both the lentils and once they start to brown add the dry red chilies and fry.



Step 3: In the same pan , fry the Garlic and make sure they fry really well. 




Step 4:  Grind this to a Powder, Start with the lentils first and add the chilies, garlic and the Moringa leaves in the end. Add salt and whip once again. Done your power packed Moringa powder is ready! I love to eat it with my rice you can always add it to any curry you are making, it will be a nice twist!
