Fresh Coriander leaves Powder.












Coriander is probably one of the most loved fresh herb of all times!The amount of flavor that it brings to ANY dish it is added to is just awesome!but flavor is the not only thing this herb has a lot of health benefits too! 


I have this extra love for podis , any podi for that matter. Podi when mixed in hot steaming rice and some ghee tastes amazing! I love the freshness coriander rings to any dish it is added to. Fortunately fresh coriander is available all through the year and you can make this podi as and when you like. 



This is a simple and easy recipe best served with rice. The flavor of Coriander with some fried lentils is a perfect recipe for a great meal. It kicks off my meal perfectly well. 


What do you need to make Fresh Coriander Powder?

  • Fresh Coriander 
  • Broken Black gram/ Urad daal 
  • Split Chikpeas / Chana daal
  • Dry Red Chilies  
  • Tamarind / Imli 
  • Salt 
How to make Fresh Coriander Powder?

Step 1: Wash the Coriander and let it dry completely, microwave it for about 1-2 minutes to make sure it is really dry and becomes a little crispy.  

Step 2: Dry fry the Lentils, once the lentils start to brown, add the dry red chilies and fry them for a bit. 



Step 3: The next step is to add enough salt and grind this to a coarse powder. Check the salt levels and store i an air tight jar.
