ChatPata Chana daal | Namkeen Chana Daal

Tea time is also tricky time, i am always craving for something to much on. Something that is not too heavy , something that is chatpata and also easy to eat. I am going to share a few of these easy recipes that are perfect for chai time and are even better for a movie night or a drinks night.

Chana daal is rich in protein and fiber, of course this is a deep fried snack and  so it is super rich in taste! the crunch when served with a hot cup of tea becomes an unbeatable combination. Curry leaves and garlic add a nice punch to the snack. If you do nit enjoy garlic , you can avoid it. :)

Namkeen snacks are extremely easy to make and are best when made at home. You do not have to go buy them, just make them at home and stock them up for your get together / party. They will taste much fresh and so so much better.

There is a brilliant tool to make these namkeens , this looks like a strainer and can hold all your little bits and makes it super easy to strain the oil. All the stuff you want to fry can be done using this. This strainer is different from the one that is used to fry the poori.
