Puffed rice snacking is the best  because it is guilt free snack ever! There a quite a few snacks you can make with these white beauties! This one i am going to show you today is a variation of the most popular Jhaal Muri from Kolkata.

This is my "go to" snack for any last minute guests! let us see how to make it!

What do you need to make the Puffed rice Snack! ?

  • Puffed Rice
  • Corn
  • Cucumber
  • Onion
  • Green chillies
  • Tomato
  • Mixture of your choice.(you can use plain sev/ bhujiya too)
  • Salt
  • black salt
  • Mustard oil
  • Cumin powder
  • Chilli Powder
  • Caat Masala

How to make the Puffed rice Snack?

Step 1: Take a big wide mouthed bowl and add mustard oil add salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, chat masala and Mix it up well.

Step 2: Boil the frozen corn and strain any excess water that might be there. Add them to the bowl with your spice mix,add the onion and mix it up nicely!

Step 3 : Add the puffed rice and and mix slowly making sure the spices mix well with the puffed rice.

Step 4: Add the tomatoes and give it a mix again.I like to add the tomatoes in the end because they make the puffed rice soggy.

Step 5: Garnish with some Daal mot or plain sev or any snack mixture you have. Serve immediately. It tastes great even if you do not garnish with the mixture.the mixture is for the extra crunch!

Note:
1.If you want to keep it ready in advance then mix everything but the puffed rice and your garnish. Mix them just before you serve. 2. Puffed rice has some salt,so be careful when you add salt.
