Crispy Cabbage Pakoda










The cabbage pakoda's!! i have some very nice memories associated with this particular snack is yummy, crispy and deep fried! 


I have no story to tell for these! It was a normal day and the evening tea time snack hunger took over... and i remembered that we have a HUGE cabbage at home! we just made it!! :D 





What do you need to make the Cabbage pakoda?

  • Cabbage 
  • Salt
  • Carom seeds / ajwain 
  • Chickpea flour / Besan 
  • Water 
  • Oil 
How to make the cabbage Pakodas?

Step 1: Chop up the Cabbage into long julienne. 





Step 2: Add some Chick pea flour , rice flour, salt, chili powder, carom seeds, a pinch of turmeric and mix all this well. Add a tea spoon of oil and mix all this up. Add like a spoon of water and fold it into a dough like this. 











Step 3: Make dumplings and deep fry them. shape is up to you. I like to make slightly flat ones. 



Step 4: Enjoy it with your cup of Tea or Coffee.
