Mini chickpea pancakes












Besan chila is a super popular Rajasthani dish that is like a lot of other dishes i have on my blog super easy to make and low on calories. The chila can actually be a dinner or like your heavy breakfast! it can help you pull on a long day. 




We are a foodie family! love to munch something with our tea. either store bought snacks or something homemade! while there is extra love for deep fried snacks, we try to consciously avoid fried stuff and try and eat some simple and healthy stuff. this is one instant and easy option. 




The chila is made with gram flour and is protein packed. Make these mini chila's they are a filled with flavor and can be had on their own. I love a little extra h spice so i like to have it with some chutney. I had some stuffed red chilli pickle which is my favourite these days; which was the best with these chilas. 



What do you need to make the Mini Besan Chila? 

  • Chickpea Flour
  • Rice Flour 
  • Onions
  • Green Chillies 
  • Fresh Coriander
  • Oil


How to make the Mini Besan Chila?

Step 1: Making the batter, take a wide mouthed bowl and add the gram flour , rice flour (4:1). Add salt, chopped onions , fresh coriander, chopped green chillies, required amounts of water and mix well. Make a thick yet flowing batter. 



Step 2: Heat a flat pan and pour the batter in mini disc shape and lace i with oil. Cover with a lid and leave for about 2 to 3 minutes, turn them over and cook again. 


Step 3: serve hot with some spicy chutney. They are full of flavor but i love a little spice in my snack , so had them with this awesome stuffed mirchi chuthey.
