Tofu Paratha


















Tofu is the healthier alternative for Paneer, it is super rich in Iron, Calcium. Tofu is prepared exactly how we make Paneer, just that we use Soy milk for this. Soy milk is curdled and then the excess water is all drained out then the tofu is left in the refrigerator to set.




Like most Soy dishes, Tofu is also from Japan, but now is like one of the most popular food items for most of the world. It is like the replacement for the Paneer. 




If you are following my blog, you know for sure that i love easy cooking and does not involve any baking. Most tofu recipes will involve baking of the tofu, which will make your life easy. The simple hack is going to make your life easy. 





What do you need to make the Tofu Paratha? 


  • Wheat Flour
  • Water
  • Tofu 
  • Finely Chopped Onion 
  • Finely Chopped Coriander 
  • Salt
  • Coriander powder
  • Cumin Powder 
  • Chilly Powder 


How to make the Tofu Paratha?

Step 1: Make the dough. Make it exactly the way you knead it for your everyday roti. Let it rest for 30 minutes. 

Step 2: Let us make the stuffing. The trick to make Tofu paratha is grating of the tofu, grate it and now we will season it. Add chopped Coriander, Finely chopped onion, chilly powder, Salt, finely chopped green chillies. 



Step 3: Lets start with making our dough, mix flour, salt and ghee in a bowl and little water at a time and make smooth dough. Knead well and make equal sized smooth portions Roll it out into circles with the help of a rolling pin. You can dust it with some wheat flour to avoid the circles sticking. 


                    








Make roundels and put a spoon full of the tofu mixture close the roundel  from the corners and finally knead it again. It is OK if you see some mixture coming out. Roast this well on both sides. Our Tofu Paratha is ready!
