Curd Chutney / Pacchi Majjiga















Pachchi Majjiga in English Literally means Raw Buttermilk. It is extremely popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Pachichi Majjiga is different from Majjiga pulusu. The curd stew is flavored with some fresh coriander, green chillies , fresh coconut and some Fried bengal gram.  


We usually make the Pachichi Majjiga when we make a deep fry dish. It is an awesome combination.  





The raw ingredients when combined become full of flavour and people will ask for more for sure. Please please do not mistake the Pachchi Majjiga is different from the Majjiga pulusu. 




What do we need to make Pachichi Majjiga:

  • Curd 
  • Fresh Coriander 
  • Green Chillies
  • Fried Bengal Gram 
  • Fresh Coconut. 
  • Water 
  • Oil 
  • Mustard Seeds. 
  • Salt

How to make Pachichi Majjiga:

Step 1: Is to add a little water to the curd and beat it to a soft consitancy.  



Step 2: Is to make a fine paste of the Fresh Coconut, Fresh coriander, Fried bengal gram and green chillies. 




Step 3: Mix the paste into the beaten curd and the fresh mixture we just prepared. Add salt as per your taste and a pinch of sugar, mix all this well and keep it aside. 




Step 4: In a small pan add some oil, once the oil is hot add some mustard seeds, wait till they start to splutter and a pinch of asafoetida and pour it over the curd mixture we just prepared. That is it, your tasty Pachichi Majjiga is ready.
