The Very Garlicky Chutney -

I have expressed my love for Garlic in a lot of recipes i shared.  This recipe i own ! because i make it different everytime and i make it according to my mood that day. This post i am going to share the most basic recipe.

There are many many benefits of Garlic; Eating a raw pearl in the mornings it helps keep your blood pressure in check. It is highly nutritious and has very little calories. (what a combination!) . Garlic can help fight common cold, my aunt ties garlic pearls in a thread and ties it around nephew's neck, this helps melt all that phlegm and clears the lungs and the tiny nose! If you want to try this home remedy on your kid, please make sure that you are watching that they do not put it in the mouth and choke on it!

What do you need to make the very Garlicky Chutney:

  • Garlic (lots)
  • Chilly powder
  • Salt
  • Fenugreek Seeds
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Asafetida
  • Broken Black daal (Urad daal , Minapa pappu)

How to make the Very Garlicky Chutney:

Step 1:  Mash the Garlic in a way such that it does not become paste yet it is mashed. I used a motor and pestle and it makes it easy for me.

Step 2: Move the Crushed Garlic to a bowl and add some chili powder, turmeric powder and salt over the garlic, keep this aside.

Step 3: In a small little pan , add some olive oil, ok you can use any oil you have at home. I used olive oil because i love it. The chutney will taste as yummy even if you use normal cooking oil.

Step 4: Once the oil is hot , add the Urad daal followed by the cumin seeds. Once they are nice and brown, add the asafetida. Quickly pour all this over the crushed garlic and mix well. Your very Garlicky chutney is ready.
