Mango Mastani

Mango madness is what i call it, the one and only good thing about summers is MANGOES! Everything about mangoes is just wow!  While there are many many things you can make with Mangoes, i love 2 things ! The Aam ka Achar and this Mango Mastani. A milkshake loaded with nuts and topped with fresh cream.

It has become a trend that a special variety of mangoes called the Banginpalli come home from my Dad's best friends farm. Oh god they are sweeter than sugar. Really really yumm! so when these fruits come home we put them in a rice bag and ripe  them, put them in water and finally make this awesome milkshake.

These Mangoes are beautifully Yellow, a yellow that is more beautiful than the gold.  None of the images are edited for Color. That bright yellow makes me want to have it every single day.

What do you need to make the Mango Mastani :

  • Mangoes
  • Milk
  • Fresh Cream
  • Nuts

How to make the Mango Mastani:

Step 1:  Cut the mango into chunks and peel, grind them with milk. Do not add too much milk, this mango drink cannot be had with a straw. You should enjoy it directly with a glass or with a spoon if you wish to add ice cream to it.

I made my drink in 2 different ways, i pureed a glass with the fresh cream and i added extra layer of fresh cream on one glass.

Step 2: Pour it in a glass of your choice, and serve with lots of nuts topped.

Notes:
- You can add honey if the Mangoes are not sweet. My Mangoes were out of the world.
- Sugar can be an option, but avoid it if you can.
- Serve it chilled and it makes an amazing dessert.
- You can serve it as a side dish with Poori. (a type of Indian bread)
