Tomato Chutney for Snacks and Parathas

Tomato Chutney or tomato dip is a very quick and easy recipe . you can serve this with any stuffed paratha or with  any snack, I ate it with some yummy Gobi parathas; you can look at the Gobi paratha recipe and try the same combination.

Tomatoes are the most important part of any Indian dish. It is not very common that you make a dish with no tomatoes. Most of the Indian gravy recipes have tomatoes in them. i personally love the chutneys, the various chutneys that can be made with tomatoes, may be that is why i have 4 different types of  chutneys with tomatoes and i love them all equally.

Like i mentioned this is a mix of crunch and spice, the crunch in this comes from the chopped onions we use, I love to use them raw, because it gives me a salad feel. :) if i have to explain this chutney in easy word i would say this is Indianised saalsa. The tangy taste comes from the tomatoes.
