Methi Paratha






Everyone knows that Fenugreek is good for health , did you know it is good in all forms? 

Fresh methi leaves can be used to make an awesome daal, a tasty paratha. In its dry form it is known as Kasuri methi and is widely popular and is used in many dishes. Even the smallest of amounts can enhance the taste of your dish. 
In sprouted form methi is known to have great benefits. In dry form as Methi seeds are used in the most popular aam ka achar and also used in everyday cooking as a part of the tadka.

In this post i am going to show you another simple and easy recipe that can serve as breakfast lunch or dinner. The super easy and tasty Methi Paratha, is so full of flavours , you can serve it just with some plain curd, Mishti Dahi or some achar or the special Onion Chutney! 





What do we need to make the Methi Paratha?
  • Wheat flour
  • Fresh Methi flour
  • Salt
  • Curd
  • Turmeric powder
  • Chilli Powder
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Carom Seeds
  • Oil


How to make the Methi Paratha ?

Step 1:  Let us kneed the dough, take some wheat flour in a wide mouthed bowl, add salt , Turmeric powder, Chilli powder,Cumin seeds, Carom seeds, curd, chopped methi leaves and required amount of water and kneed it well. 



Step 2:  Make smooth equal sized portions and roll them into circles using a rolling pin. Dust your surface with some wheat flour to avoid the circles sticking to the surface. 



Step 3: Heat your tawa and start roasting the methi roti. Turn it both sides and roast well. Serve it with a chutney of your choice or with some plain curd.
