Capsicum / Bell peppers stuffed with Sesame, Coconut and some green chilies.






Capsicum / Shimla mirch/ bell pepper is my all time favorite, i love the crunch in the vegetable and can eat it in any form. This is one vegi that has its own special charm, On a pizza, with rice, fry, no fry... any ANY form! But nothing beats this awesome Stuffed capsicum curry! Till wale Capsicum!




This is one of the most simple yet a super hit recipe, trust me on this! :D  The below picture of capsicum is only because i love it :) Its the most special recipe we make at home and all of us enjoy it. 







I am sure you have tried the bhawan mirchi / stuffed capsicum at least once, The potato stuffed Capsicum or the colourful ones stuffed with flavoured rice! The possibilities are endless while keeping the stuffed part constant. you have to try this once to understand why i am so much in love with this home recipe. It is a no onion , no garlic recipe. 

The trick to get the most yummy Stuffed capsicum is to cook on medium flame and be patient with them while they cook. 




What do we need to make Stuffed Sesame Capsicum???

  • Small to medium sized Green Capsicum
  • Sesame/ Till / Nuvvulu
  • Dry Coconut
  • Green chillies
  • Salt
  • Oil for shallow fry

How to make Stuffed Sesame Capsicum? 

Step 1 is to slit the capsicum length wise and try to take out the seeds. Take a big Wok / Pan and generous amounts of oil. Now add the capsicum to this pan and stir fry and keep aside. 

If you wish you can fry the stuffed capsicum as well,for that process go to skip this step and go to step 2. 

Tip: keep turning the capsicum to ensure it cooks well on all sides. 







Step 2 is to make the stuffing,  in a pan take sesame , dry coconut and green chillies and dry fry. Sesame is the base , please take this in max quantity, dry coconut 5-6 small pieces, 8-9 green chillies and salt (can add more based on your mirchi level) Switch off the stove; once the mixture is cool grind this. 




Step 3 is to stuff the mixture in the capsicum and add this back to the pan and cook for 2-3 min. That is it your lip smacking Sesame capsicum is ready! Serve this with steamed rice, sit back and enjoy the compliments! 







FAQ: 
Q: Can i stuff the capsicum and then fry. 
A: Sure you can , be careful with the stuffing might fall off when you tun the capsicum and burn in the process. I have updated the blog with pictures for both.
