How to make Mildly spiced rice cooked with Lentils??

This dish is a one pot meal, i recommend you make this for breakfast  as it is filling and can last till lunch time! Also i personally feel it's too heavy as a dinner item.

Soak the Green gram daal for 15-20 minutes, this step is optional, you can add the daal directly as well

Take a pressure pan (cooker) and add some oil, wait for it to heat add a 3-4 cloves, 7-8 Black peppers, cumin seeds and fry for a bit; add the curry leaves and let them fry well.

Add your leftover rice and green gram and 2.5 times water and add salt, at this point you can taste the water to check your salt levels. Let it cook for 3-4 whistles. This dish is best when it's cooked very well, almost mashed!

I ate it with some peanut powder! Yumm! You can eat it with a nice pickle which will balance the mildness of the rice.
