Chinese Style Idli 65!!!





In one of my last posts i showed you how to make Idli Umpa I am now going to show you how to make Chinese style Idili 65! This is a dish made with leftover Idli by adding a few vegetables; it could easily be an option for a starter at a dinner or lunch party. I promise this dish will leave your guests surprised! 

I love to make this as a fresh dish, even when i do not have leftovers! 


What you need to make Chinese style Idli 65:
  • Leftover Idli
  • Finely chopped green chilly 
  • Finley chopped Onion 
  • Finely chopped Garlic
  • Finely chopped Capsicum 
  • Finley chopped Spring Onion 
  • Finely chopped coriander 
  • Oil for shallow fry 
  • Salt. 




How to make Chinese style Idli 65?

TIP : I advise you to put your iIlis in the fridge for 3-4 hours before making this dish, this will help while you cube your Idli, else it mite crumble under the knife. 

Step 1 is I have time on my hand and i am going to shallow fry my Idli, if you are crunched for time you can deep fry your Idlis. Fry your cubed Idlis till they are golden brown and become crispy, take this into a bowl and keep aside. 



                             
                               




Step 2 In the same pan add some oil and start frying the veggies,  the size of your vegetables is important as i feel it adds to the taste!! (do not ask me how!) 

We start with frying the green chilly,  Onion, Garlic, Capsicum, Spring Onion and coriander; Fry these veggies well. Time to add Soy sauce and tomato sauce and saute till all the veggies cook well in these sauces, sprinkle some salt. 



We are almost there! add the fried Idli cubes to this mixture fry till the mixture covers your Idlis well  serve hot! I am off to hog my Idli 65,  hope you will enjoy making and eating this Chinese style Idli 65! let me know how you like it!
